UNITED FOR PEACE FILM FESTIVAL(UFPFF) is a film festival for students held annually around September 21, Peace Day designated by the United Nations (anyone can participate in the event). On the day of the festival, there will be screenings of the 10 finalist films, a jury session, and an awards ceremony.
As a special invitation film, the winner of the PLURAL+UFPFF Award 2021 ‘Everyone Hurts’ by Seohyung Lee will be screened. In addition, the Sapporo International Short Film Festival 2022 will screen a Peace Selection film. Live music related to Peace Day will be performed by singer-songwriter Maiko Ueoku. Suzuka Nakamura, co-founder, co-chair and designer of “KNOW NUKES TOKYO”, a campaign for nuclear weapons abolition, and Mariko Santa, founder of STARs (student organization at Nagasaki University), will speak on Peace Day. The moderator will be Takeshi Ito, President of asobot inc.
