UNITED FOR PEACE FILM FESTIVAL (UFPFF) 2014 was held on Sunday September 21st, the United Nations ‘International Peace Day’, at Yokohama City Education Hall (Yokohama-shi Kyoiku Kikan Hall) with 208 people attending the event.
We had screenings of the finalist films, selected the Grand Prix and other awards, including the Audience Choice Award and Special Jury Award. We had a Peace Day Talk with wonderful guests Tange Kouki, Namikawa Susumu and Ishikawa Junya, as well as a Peace Day Live performance by the Yano Brothers. We then introduced the latest documentary by Okuda Aiki of Meiji Gakuin University, the UFPFF 2013 finalist who received the Grand Prix and The Arukikata Prize.
